At Newwave Orthodontics located on the Sunshine Coast, we offer Invisalign 7, Lite, Full and Teen to suit our individual patients’ needs. Invisalign is a highly requested orthodontic treatment and widely offered among dentists all over the country, but the price varies among dental and orthodontic clinics. Some practices have been known to charge $100’s or even $1000’s extra for an Invisalign treatment. Here at Newwave Orthodontics we are determined to provide the most beneficial and cost effective treatment for your orthodontic needs.
The benefits of the Invisalign treatment
Invisalign is so highly requested because of its ability to align your teeth without anyone noticing! The clear plastic aligners are virtually invisible and fit seamlessly over your teeth. The aligners are also removable which means you can still follow your regular dental hygiene routine and remove your aligners during meal time. For those teens who are self-conscious about wearing metal braces and for adults who work in a profession where they are unable to wear traditional orthodontics Invisalign could be the treatment for you.
The Invisalign Full treatment
The Invisalign Full treatment is the most commonly prescribed Invisalign solution and incudes a series of clear plastic aligners that generally take 12months or more to achieve the end result. Modern technology has ensured that we no longer have to take a mould of your teeth to construct the aligners. Today our advanced Cadent iTero digital scanner system, allows us to create a digital image of your mouth. Dr Miles can then simply submit your digital scan directly to Invisalign where they can begin manufacturing your aligners. Each treatment will be individualised for each patient and may require a different number of aligners and treatment time.
The Invisalign Lite treatment
The Invisalign Lite treatment is exactly what you might guess it is, this treatment is essentially the same as the full treatment but is prescribed for a shorter time and designed for patients with less severe dental problems requiring only 5-6 months of treatment. Like Invisalign Full, your aligners are custom made and will include a series of fitted aligners to move your teeth into place. The importance of wearing your aligners is something to consider when opting for Invisalign Lite, with removable aligners patients can take them out to eat and clean their teeth. However we cannot stress enough the need to wear your aligners 22 hours a day; just because your teeth are not severely out of place doesn’t mean they will move themselves.
Invisalign 7 (I-7)
I-7 is the latest in the Invisalign range involving up to only 7 aligners for minor corrections of front teeth. This is most suited for those with minor rotations or spacing of their front teeth or for those wanting an improvement in a hurry for special occasions such as weddings, although Invisalign Lite may also suit.
The Invisalign Teen treatment
At Newwave Orthodontics we understand that our adolescent patients often feel uncomfortable about wearing traditional metal braces, which is why Invisalign Teen can be so beneficial for young adults. With virtually invisible aligners your class mates won’t even be able to tell you are undergoing orthodontic treatment at all! The Invisalign Teen includes compliance indicators to follow your child’s treatment and ensures they are wearing them on a regular basis. The Invisalign Teen treatment can accommodate for a developing smile, which is why this treatment can be used for our younger patients.
